Zastosowanie pakietu programów GEOSTAR i GEPLAN do obsługi geologicznej złóż węgla brunatnego eksploatowanych przez KWB Adamów S.A.

A graet amount of geological and mining information gathered during the reconnaissance and exploitation of lignite deposits forces the mine to collect the data in a digital form and process them in order to have a fast access to the information and to prepare various specifications. In 1999 KWB Adamów S.A. started using geological software Geostar and Geoplan. At first a geological database was created for particular exploited deposits - Geostar software. The database contains all the information from exploratory or jump drilling, observatory piezometers, exploratory and dehydrating wells and measurements within the pits. After creating the database for the first exploited deposit, the data were immediately used for the elaboration of basic geological documents-berehole charts, intersections, calculating charts with basic and average quantitative and qualitative parameters of the deposit. At the same time graphical-calculating. Geoplan software was introduced for the visualization of the data in the form of isoline maps and for data processing to calculate the resources on the maps. The application of the software enables computer controlled servicing of the exploited deposits.
