The application of laboratory tests to investigation of industrial catalysts used in zeoforming process.

The zeoforming, a newer process, is rarely used in the petroleum industry. The zeoforming plant in the Glimar S.A. Refinery has produced unleaded gasoline for the last few years. The activity of two ZSM-5 catalysts (A and B) used in the zeoforming process was differentiated in proposed laboratory tests, carried out with use of industrial feed. The catalyst B appeared to be much more active than the catalyst A. The concept of using catalyst B in one rector, in one line (A-B-A), and only one catalyst A in the three reactors of the second line (A-A-A) has been successfully applied in the zeoforming plant of the refinery.
