Aktualne problemy polityki geoinformacyjnej państwa w kontekście INSPIRE
The paper presents and analyzes the impact of INSPIRE Directive on organization and coordination of actions conducted by public administration and concerning geoinformation in Poland. Importance and urgency of the INSPIRE Directive transposition is emphasized, drawing attention to the fact that this transposition will result in establishing Polish Spatial Information Infrastructure (PSII). The transposition procedure in Poland is described in detail as well as its application in case of the INSPIRE Directive indicating the role of individual government bodies. In the final conclusions it is stressed that in the implementation of government policy concerning geoinformation special attention should be paid to ensuring appropriate condition for cooperation of public and private entities participating in the construction of PSII. The Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography should perform the function of a leading entity in building of PSII, which requires the General Surveyor of Poland to create an appropriate coordinating structure specified in the INSPIRE Directive.
