80-lecie Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej i szkolnictwo wyższe dla górnictwa naftowego

W artykule zamieszczono dzieje powstania Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej w Krakowie na tle warunków politycznych i gospodarczych naszego kraju. Opisano zasługi Polaków przy tworzeniu się i powstawaniu wyższego szkolnictwa górniczo-hutniczego. Podano też fakty tworzenia się wyższych studiów naftowych w Polsce, a zwłaszcza Wydziału Wiertniczo-Naftowego AGH. Na zakończenie opisano kształcenie studentów na wydziale wiertnictwa, Nafty i Gazu w ramach kierunku Górnictwo i Geologia.

This paper gives a historical outline of the University of Mining and Metallurgy, Cracov on the background of political and economic conditions in Poland. The Polish impact on the creation and dovolopment of higher education for mining and metallurgical industry has been given as well. The facts related to the formation of petroleum-oriented studies in Poland, the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas in particular, have been described. The papers closes with a discussion of education at the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas, line: Mining and Geology.
