Possibilities of geothermal waters development within three provinces of North-West and Central Europe meeting in region of Krakow city, Poland
Poland and the city of Krakow in particular are situated in a very special place in Europe. There are three oil-gas-geothermal provinces within the territory of Poland spreading towards the North-West and Central Europe. They are: - Epiplate Province of the North-West and Central Europe spreads over the area of the North Sea and on its coastline and covering the Netherlands, Denmark, North Germany, Poland, West Ukraine and Byelorussia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. - The Fore-Carpathian foreland Province spreads from Austria through Moravia, Poland, Ukraine and Romania. - The orogenic flysh Carpathian Province spreads over the area from Austria and Moravia through the south part of Poland, South-West Ukraine and the west territory of Romania.
