Controlling between neoclassical optimization and support of real life management

In 'main stream business science' the idea of homo oeconomicus is still prevailing. Therefore the respective instruments are constructed on the basis of the underlying idea of rationality. This paper deals with the different visions of full and bounded rationality and analyses the potential use of standard ERP-implemented procedures which are to act as smart heuristics - combining both the structure of task environments and the computational capabilities of the actor.
