The influence of mineral fillers on rheological properities of cement pastes

The effect of two of mineral fillers on rheology of fresh cement pastes was investigated. Laboratory prepared cement was replaced with 40% of fly ash and finely grinded limestone. Rheological experiments were carried out for constant water/solid ratio 0.35 and performed according to the same measurement procedure. Mineral fillers grain size distribution was measured by laser diffraction granulometer. An increase both in yield value and plastic viscosity of cement pastes with fly ash and grinded limestone content was found.
