Problems in assessment of working conditions with relation to the cost aspect

Improvement of working conditions, as postulated in EU legislature, should be preceded by a comprehensive analysis of the current state of working conditions in a company. This paper, by accentuating still open issues of construing proper information sets for such analysis, postulates the need for assessing costs generated by individual elements of working conditions. It seems that the desired comprehensiveness of such analyses should be based on combination of quantitative, qualitative and financial information related to working conditions, and supplemented by opinions gathered from both employees and employers in relation to changes anticipated in the subject area. The postulated line of thought is exemplified by a set of specific information that may prove useful in the course of diagnosing company working conditions.
