Knowledge management in the learning region

The EU envisages that the role of knowledge in driving regional development should be increased. In this paper we discuss the process of development of a learning region, principles and instruments of creation of a regional knowledge management system and strengths and weaknesses of the knowledge system in the region.

Nowa polityka regionalna Unii Europejskiej zakłada podniesienie roli wiedzy w kształtowaniu kierunków rozwoju regionalnego. Przedstawiono proces powstawania regionu uczącego się, zasady i instrumenty tworzenia regionalnego systemu zarządzania wiedzą oraz przykładowe słabe i silne strony systemu wiedzy w regionie.
