Modernizacja zabudowy mieszkaniowej jako sposób aktywizacji osób starszych

Budynki mieszkaniowe, wielorodzinne, mające 30 - 40 lat, wymagać będą w najbliższej przyszłości kapitalnych remontów. Wraz z remontem konieczna będzie również modernizacja mieszkań. Jest to okazja do dostosowania ich dla potrzeb osób starszych. Jako podstawowy kierunek działania przyjęto konieczność przeprowadzenia badań istniejącej przestrzeni mieszkaniowej w celu określenia uwarunkowań przestrzennych decydujących o integracji ze środowiskiem grupy osób starszych oraz przeanalizowanie technicznych możliwości adaptacji. Badania przeprowadzono na przykładzie osiedli z terenu Katowic.

Residential buildings, multi-family, having 30 or 40 years, will require major repairs in the near future. Along with the renovation of the building the modernization of flats is also necessary. This is an opportunity to adjust them to the needs of the elderly. As the basic course of the action the need for a study of the existing residential area was adopted, to determine the spatial conditions influencing the integration of the group of older people with the housing environment and to examine the technical possibilities of adaptation of flats. The study was conducted on the example of settlements from the area of Katowice.
