Methane emission from the coal seams released by the exploitation is the source of methane supply to the gobs of the coal face, during its exploitation and after finishing it to the gobs of already liquidated areas. The paper brings up problem of methane release to the post-exploitation areas in the aspect of its possible collection and reduction of the emissions to the atmosphere.
