W artykule przedstawiono problemy związane z koncepcją zrównoważonego rozwoju, w odniesieniu do łańcuchów dostaw. Zdefiniowano termin -zrównoważony rozwój. Omówiono zagadnienia zrównoważonego rozwoju w jednostkach przemysłowych. Scharakteryzowano studia przypadków, opisane w literaturze. Przedstawiono procedurę dziesięciu kroków w budowaniu sprawnych, nowoczesnych łańcuchów dostaw. Opisano elementy teorii dóbr publicznych w zrównoważonym rozwoju. Artykuł zakończono wnioskami.

The paper presents problems of the concept of the sustainable development in relation to the logistics supply chains. The concept of the sustainable development was defined and the problems of the sustainable development in the industrial enterprises were discussed. The paper presents case studies described in the literature. The author presented the ten-steps-procedure of building effective and modern logistics supply chains. Finally the elements of the theory of public good in the concept of the sustainable development were described. The paper ends with conclusions.
