Konstrukcje więźb dachowych w średniowiecznej architekturze murowanej Pomorza - komunikat z badań
In 1999-2001 the Committee of Scientific Studies financed research concerning carpentry constructions in brick mediaeval buildings in eastern Pomerania and a part of western Pomerania. The investigations pertained predominantly to roof trusses. The most important results included a systematic of roof constructions in the discussed terrain. A summary of the outcome of the research demonstrates that the type of trusses used during the Gothic period were rafter-collar beam. The oldest originate from the end of the thirteenth century and the beginning of the fifteenth century. Particular attention is due to the oldest example discovered in the church in Lisewo (fourth quarter of the thirteenth century). All possible variants of rafter-collar beam trusses occurred already during the fourteenth century. The performed studies made it possible not only to document the existing extensive resources of mediaeval roof constructions and to create a suitable systematic, but in many cases altered the dates of their origin.
