Influence of sub-zero temperature and initial set time on the properties of hardened concrete
This study covered the issues of concreting in low temperatures. The analysis concerned the effect of gradual cooling of fresh concrete on compressive strength drops after 28 days of maturing. The investigations were conducted for specimens of class C20/25 concrete prepared from cements: CEM I 32.5R, CEM I 42.5R, CEM II/B-V 42.5R and dolomite aggregate. The linear relationship between the concrete volume gain and strength drop was determined.
