Evaluation of technical state of highways on the basis of guaranteed service properties
On highways built - as a rule - at the beginning of XX century, now travel the vehicles at velocities exceeding by far those for which these roads were designed. Reconstruction, using various methods, carried out mainly thirty or forty years ago included chiefly roadway widening and strengthening. Progressing deterioration of pavements led to the development of evaluation methods of highway condition and planning of repairs based on it. The paper presents the evaluation of technical state of highways on the basis of guaranteed velocity v85. The gist of the evaluation is based on the observation that when the relationships between the velocity v85 and individual highway attributes are determined in analytic or empirical way, it can be assessed what value of velocity v85 can be assured by the technical state of the given highway segment. Velocity v85 variation diagram along the highway allows to find places, where the velocity changes between successive segments are too large and at what hectometre segment a sudden drop of v85 velocity occurs.
Po drogach wybudowanych z reguły na początku XX wieku jeżdżą obecnie pojazdy z prędkościami, na które tych dróg nie projektowano. Prowadzone w różny sposób przebudowy dróg z reguły wykonane w latach sześćdziesiątych i siedemdziesiątych obejmowały głównie poszerzenia jezdni lub wzmocnienia konstrukcji. Postępująca degradacja nawierzchni spowodowała rozwój metod oceny stanu dróg i planowanie na ich podstawie remontów. Artykuł przedstawia ocenę stanu technicznego dróg na podstawie gwarantowanej prędkości v85. Istota oceny polega na tym, że mając określone w sposób analityczny lub empiryczny zależności pomiędzy prędkością v85 i poszczególnymi cechami drogi można ocenić, jaką prędkość v85 min zapewnia swym stanem technicznym dany odcinek drogi. Wykres zmian prędkości v85 min wzdłuż drogi pozwala znaleźć miejsca, gdzie zmiany tej prędkości na następujących po sobie odcinkach są za duże oraz na którym odcinku hektometrowym następuje nagły spadek prędkości v85min.
