Influence of cutting methods on changes in material structure of sheets with increased abrasion resistance

The paper presents properties and structure of HARDOX type steel. Tests on Hardox500 steel cutting by means of oxygen, plasma and laser cutting as well as high-pressure water jet with abrasive material have been conducted. Changes in structure and properties in the area adjacent to cutting line have been tested and influence of cutting method on the scope and sort of changes to the tested steel have been specified.

Scharakteryzowano własności i strukturę stali typu HARDOX. Przeprowadzono próby cięcia stali Hardox500 metodami cięcia tlenowego, plazmowego, laserowego i wysokociśnieniowym strumieniem wody ze ścierniwem. Zbadano zmiany struktury i własności w strefie przylegającej do linii cięcia. Określono wpływ metody cięcia na zakres i rodzaj zmian badanej stali.
