Wykorzystanie retencji w rozwoju i modernizacji eksploatowanych systemów kanalizacyjnych

The direction of scientific activity presented in the paper is the actual world tendency of the development of different types of waste water transport and the reduction of waste water quantity, mainly the quantity of storm water. The main purpose of scientific researches is the usage of all possible ways of storm water retention in urban areas. The elaboration of rational solutions of waste water transport with the usage of technical methods of retention is under intensive development in Poland. The main purpose is the search of cheap, ecological and small-volume solutions of storage reservoirs used for the reduction of waste water transport costs. Such solutions give the possibilities for efficient investments and elimination of sewage systems overloading without reconstruction.
