Dopravny hluk v meste a jeho vplyv na akustiku kvalitu prostredia

Tram and car traffic is the most common source of traffic noise in big cities. The traffic noise affects people either in the form of the specific influences - direct influences on cars, or in the form of unspecific influences that affect other systems of human being organism. Assuming this it is obvious that we should decrease the noise within our environment, or better to avoid it. The problems with the excessive traffic noise were monitored at one of the Kosice suburbs. The direct measurements of the volume traffic and noise density were carried out within the affected part of the city. On this basis it was possible to analyse the noise situation and propose the measures to decrease its undesirable effects. The obtained results have showed that the pre-set allowable noise levels given by relevant regulation were exceeded at each time and at each measurement place. On the basis of the evaluation of the obtained results we can conclude that the acoustic comfort in the monitored suburb is significantly disturbed. As the solution to this complicated problem we can propose the gradual elimination of negative occurrences using urban, architectural, technical, and organisational measures. To reach the optimal effect it is necessary to realise a few measures at once.
