Influence of ship's rolling on emission of toxic compounds from the reciprocating internal combustion engine with partly submerged gas exhaust port
The Polish Navy ships carry out their missions under various weather conditions, which has obviously some influence on engine performance indexes. The influence of broadly understood external factors is commonly known for vessels with a classic gas exhaust system, whereas there is a lack of more elaborate studies on constructions which are not commonly used in the Navy. The paper presents the influence of ship's rolling with a partly submerged gas exhaust port on engine performance indexes, focusing its main attention on emission of toxic compounds.
