The mathematical model of flow processes in the combustion chamber of gas engine
Three different shapes of the combustion chambers were modelling by KIVA 3V code. These chambers are designed for the real engine. Two chambers have the same shape but difference squish ratio. The best turbulent qualities take place in the chamber with squish = 4 mm and c.r. = 10.82. The squish velocity for chamber with squish = 4 mm and c.r. = 10.82 is three time bigger in relation to the chamber with squish = 5 mm and er. - 8.67. The maximum of TKE is at about 12 degrees before TDC for spark ignition engine and equals to 4.1 m2 / s2 for the chamber with er. = 10.82 and squish = 4 mm . The decreasing in the squish from 7 mm to 4 mm cause an increase in the TKE to aprox. 30 %.
