Assessment of operational changes of parameters charakterizing the performance of fuel nozzles with conic faces

In the paper analysis of the influence Iow sulfur fuel on nozzle wear is presented. The analysis was worked out on the basis of test results for Jelcz PR 110 and Ikarus 280 engines. The examination of wear, being the change of fuel nozzles measured geometrical values, consisted in making profilograms of examined surfaces wth the use of Rank Taylor Hobson 2000G profile measurement gauge. Assessment based on multicriterional analysis, compared with assessment based on mathematical statistics methods, provides additional information relative to indicating specific nozzles complying with the criterion of the smallest simultaneous changes of all measured parameters.
