Intelligent building and smart grid integration of renewable energy sources on the basis of computer simulations
The article presents the results of research on the electric energy demand in an "intelligent building" powered from a few renewable energy sources. The analysis was conducted on the basis of the following installations: wind engines, photovoltaic cells, and celi modules together with PV installations and solar collectors. The article presents also the daily values of wind speed and power throughout the period of one year, measured at the height of 102 m. It also shows the current-voltage characteristics of a PV module for two cases: the influence of the light falling on the surface and the influence of temperature Apart from those, the article presents also a program designed for positioning the photovoltaic panel and a simulation of how the program operates positioning the panel based on the LOGO! Soft Comfort v6.0 computer program. The article examines the yearly energy demand of a four-member family, with the average consumption of electric energy during the day and the results of the energy consumption simulation for electric equipment of low and high power in a single-family house prepared with the use of the Crocodile Physics v6.05 computer program. The article discusses also the decentralized automation systems of „intelligent buildings".
