International network of excellence: production processes - ProNet

This paper presents genesis, goals, structure and activity plans of Network of Excellence Production Processes, called ProNet. The network is coordinated by Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies placed at Wroclaw University of Technology. The network received financing recently from Polish Scientific Research Committee. The main goal of the network is coordination and consolidation of research potential of Polish research institutes and including them into international research activities within European Research Area. It is planned first to develop the Polish part of the network, called SDPP and next develop it into international Network of Excellence, called ProNet. The paper names also the members of the network: Polish as well as foreign institutions.
