The efficiency of utilization of Siemens Sensation 10 CT scanner for reverse engineering

The new possibilities of applications of the computer tomography scanner Siemens Sensation 10 in this paper were introduced. Using the new measurement protocols, machine calibration as well as output data analysis, the possibilities of application of this technology for surface projection of parts as well as quality inspection of their fabrication were pointed. Classically this device is used for visual diagnostics only. The authors present the own experiences of utilization of the machine for Reverse Engineering aims, new application subjects and additionally own way of data analysis for the accuracy improvement.
