Rozwój zrównoważony i jego wpływ na wartość rynkową przedsiebiorstw komunalnych sektora energetycznego

The nineties of 20th century were the period of radical and significant changes in Polish economy, concerning also environment protection. This issue concerns public enterprises, privatized enterprises as well as newly created ones (Polish or foreign ones) from different sectors. In the paper the trial has been made to define factors conductive to sustainable development in public-use enterprises. Implementing sustainable development in an enterprise is significantly contributing to the increase of its market value. Investment outlays dedicated to environment protection in 1999-2002 has increased averagely by 10.05 per cent. The increase is significant mainly due to high liability of public-use economy, whish has achieved level of 16.000 million zlotys in the year 2003. Despite of these facts it is necessary to continue investment process connected to environment protection, simply because it is investment of high return rate.
