Conductivity modulation in metalloporphyrin dimer Langmuir-Blodgett films induced by gas adsorption
The complete structural, morphological, optical and electrical characterization of a new porphyrin dimer: meso,meso'-buta-1.3-diyne-bridged nickel(II) oceaethyloporphyrin dimer (NiOEPD) is reported. In particular, sensitivity and selectivity properties in controlled atmosphere are analysed and related to gas adsorption and charge carrier delocalization phenomena. In order to explain the conductivity modulation following the exposure to toxic gases exposure kinetic model is proposed.
