Prognoza kierunków rozwoju badań tribologicznych

The article contains an analysis of tribological problems of a particular technical importance, which should be solved in the nearest future. The following ones were recognised as the most important: research on wear of composites and coats in high temperatures, elaboration of new lubricants, able to work at bigger loads and ecological, elaboration of testing methods for diagnosing the state of lubricants in maintenance, modelling and simulation of tribological processes, standarisation of tribological research, elaboration of new materials for medicine and new non-metallic materials for special applications as well as new cooling - lubricating liquids used in technological processes and creating coats on the treated elements.
