Koncepcja radaru PCL bazującego na sygnałach radia FM

Artykuł przedstawia koncepcję pasywnego radaru bistatycznego (ang. Passive Coherent Location radar) wykorzystującego niekooperatywne nadajniki radia FM. Pokazano podstawowe założenia systemu oraz przedstawiono kolejne etapy przetwarzania.

The concept of a PCL (Passive Coherent Location) radar based on FM radio transmitters is presented. This type of radar uses non-cooperative radiation sources - in this case the broadcast radio transmitters - to illuminate the target. Special processing is needed to locate the target and determine its velocity. The processing steps: adaptive removal of clutter, correlation, target detection and position ambiguity resolving are described briefly. Advantages of such a system - low supply power, covert operation, and long range are pointed out.
