Sewer rehabilitation in Hamburg's Speicherstadt using seamless light-curing GRP pipe liner
Short construction times, low construction site logistics, and thin wall thickness because of very high stability characteristics are the outstanding features in the sewer rehabilitation pipe lining procedure using light-curing glass fibre liners. Since light-curing GRP pipe lining procedures can be successfully employed also in oval profiles and greater diameters they have become an alternative to warm-water curing as the example in Hamburg demonstrates. In early 2005 a 119 metre long, class VIa sewer (oval profile 570/860) in the Speicherstadt of Hamburg was renovated within two days with two GRP liners from Brandenburger, including levelling and opening of the connections.
