Inteligentne systemy transportowe

Od kilkudziesięciu lat na świecie podejmuje się prace badawcze i wdrożeniowe, których celem jest usprawnienie działań istniejących systemów transportowych. W tym nurcie szeroko prowadzone są prace i badawcze i wdrożeniowe dotyczące inteligentnych systemów transportowych (intelligent transportation systems) - ITS. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie istoty inteligentnych systemów transportowych oraz zaprezentowanie doświadczeń światowych w zakresie prac badawczych oraz wdrożeniowych w tym zakresie z uwzględnieniem doświadczeń Unii Europejskiej.

Research and implementation work has been undertaken throughout the world in the recent few dozen years aimed at making the existing transport systems more efficient. Within this scope extensive research work is conducted on ITS - intelligent transportation systems. The purport of the present paper is to present the essence of intelligent transportation systems and world-wide experience in the scope of research and implementation, including the European Union.
