The idea of high power bow thruster powering from hydraulic central loading system

The idea of high power bow thruster powering from hydraulic central loading system on modern product and chemical tankers has been presented in the paper. Structure and main parts of hydraulic drive and remote control systems are described. The solution of bow thruster drive system mounted on board of product tanker m/t "Helix" is presented. Sea trial results of bow thruster are shown. Problems with waves phenomena in long main lines of hydraulic central loading system in start-up time are underlined.

W referacie przedstawiono ideę napędu i zasilania steru strumieniowego dużej mocy zasilanego z hydraulicznego układu centralnego zasilania na nowoczesnych produktowcach i chemikaliowcach. Opisano główne części struktury wspomnianego układu napędu i sterowania. Zaprezentowano rozwiązanie napędu steru strumieniowego zastosowanego na produktowcu "Helix". Przedstawiono wyniki prób morskich steru strumieniowego. Podkreślono problemy związane ze zjawiskami falowymi w długich magistralach układu centralnego zasilania w czasie rozruchu.
