Efficiency of Co-combustion of Generator Gas Obtained from the Low-temperature Gasification Process of Wood-derivative Wastes with Hard Coal in Stoker Fired Boilers
The paper presents the method of thermal energy generation based on the combustion of generator gas generated from wood-derivative waste gasification . The generated gas obtained from the process of low-temperature wood-derivative waste gasification is burnt together with hard coal in a stoker fired boiler of OR-10M type. The generated energy in water vapour ensures the needs of industrial receivers for the generation of electrical and thermal energy in co-generation. The basic advantages of the implemented technology are: - economic use of wood-derivative wastes counted among other wastes than dangerous ones [15,16,17], - high elasticity of technology allowing to process a large spectrum of various types of woodderivative wastes, - possibility to generate and burn a gaseous fuel in the form of generator gas in a manner enabling its entire and safe for the environment combustion without the necessity to construct additional equipment for flue gas cleaning, - obtaining of a new energy source with high environmental protection degree, - decrease of consumption of primary energy carriers. After installation start followed the decrease of primary fuel consumption, i.e. hard coal.
