Stała zmienność jest podstawową cechą klimatu Ziemi. Poprzedni okres chłodny trwał do połowy XIX w., po czym znów nastało ocieplenie, w którym właśnie żyjemy. Obserwowane dziś zjawiska, w szczególności przejściowy wzrost globalnej temperatury, wynikają z naturalnego rytmu zmian klimatu. W pewnej części wzrost ilości gazów cieplarnianych, konkretnie CO2, jest związany z działalnością człowieka i dlatego wskazane jest podejmowanie kroków dla ograniczenia tej ilości, opartych na zasadach rozwoju zrównoważonego. To przyczyni się do ochrony atmosfery i uzdrowienia całego środowiska w miejscach zamieszkania człowieka.

Permanent variability is a principal feature of the Earth's climate. The previous cold period lasted up the mid 19th century and then gave pace to another warm period in which we are living now. The phenomena which are currently observed, and in particular a temporary rise of the global temperature, just reflect a natural rhythm of the climate change. An increased content of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is partially related to the human activity. Therefore, all steps that restrain this emission should be taken which are in line with the principles of sustainable development. Such approach will contribute to the protection of the atmosphere and improve the environment ofhuman habitats.
