The use of GPS for combat air force formations

Submitted paper discusses results of the researches of the positioning system of military aircraft that perform combat group flights. System mentioned above, marks out objects position on the basis of Global Positioning System (GPS). Thanks to information on the relative position in formation, pilots are able to stick to formation parameters required (intervals, distances regardless of weather conditions (limited visibility, flight in clouds).

Prezentowany artykuł przedstawia rezultaty badań systemu pozycjonowania samolotów szykach bojowych. Wspomniany system wyznacza pozycję obiektów (samolotów) N)'wykorzystując system satelitarny GPS (Global Positioning System). Piloci, dzięki informacji względnej pozycji w ugrupowaniu. mogą utrzymywać żądane parametry szyku (odstępy, leg/ości) bez względu na warunki pogodowe (ograniczona widoczność, zachmurzenie).
