Improvement of emission properties on integrated control of powertrain with CVT and sparking plug engine
In the passenger car with CVT one of the most important problem is the way of conflict solution between good drivability and reduced pollutant emissions and low fuel consumption. The integrated control of Powertrain System with combustion engine and continuously variable transmission give possibility to realizing of different control strategies. That has influence of important work factors of automotive power transmission system. Improvement of control algorithms and possibilities of floating choosing of engine work parameters allow to reduce pollutant emission and fuel consumption by preservation of car high dynamic factor. Integrated control of work parameters of engine as throtlle position and transmission work parameters (transmission ratio) has influence on vehicle emission properties. In this paper the mad test results of pollutant emission on acceleration test by different control strategies are analyzed. The emission research results are analyzed and presented in graph as Emission Index (EI) as function of Dynamic Factor (DF). The final conclusions based on analysis of research results could be helpful to design new advanced integrated control algorithm of Power Transmission System.
