Longitudinal flight stability control during changing the sweep-back angle of wing by neural fuzzy-control
The stability along the three axis depends on the position of gravity centre and aerodynamic lift centre, the sweep-back angle, the temporary incidence angle of aircraft, the angle of bank, the flight speed, the altitude, the thrust power, the construction, etc. This paper includes an analysis of longitudinal stability control focused on the effects of changing sweep-back angle of wing. The applied analytic method is the catastrophe theory by Thom, which provides opportunity to realize a real-time control of longitudinal stability during the move of wings. Thom's theory is a powerful tool to describe by mathematical equations the influences of changing the sweep-back angle of wing. As these influences are changing quickly and flight situation is affected by other parameters too, so a neural control system could supervise all the effects and their causalities. The control system based on neural network can be used for communication between the different sections of aircraft. All the elementary neurons are composed into a communication system. Stability control might be made either by the pilot or the fuzzy-control. The task of fuzzy-control is to choice the suitable parameters and to modify it for setting the stability of flight.
