Dylematy energetyki jądrowej w Polsce

The beginning of the 21st century brought Europe new challenges such as growing demand for energy necessary for economic development of any country. In the time of diminishing energy natural resources which are mostly located in un-stable politically regions and strict limitations on poisonous gases emission, a nuclear power station seems to be an attractive prospect for Polish economy which currently depends heavily on imported crude oil and natural gas. Poland cannot remain indifferent to nuclear energy which offers stable conditions of fuel supply. New generation reactors are safe and the price of energy produced by them is competitive in relation to conventional energy. Therefore, it is advisable to take measures in order to build the first nuclear power station in Poland. The introduction of the solutions mentioned above cannot take place in the atmosphere of fear and distrust to experts as it will not bring expected benefits.
