The main issues concerning reconnaissance personel preparation (staff cells and commanders) to fulfill the Alliance's requirements have been presented in the article. The functioning of reconnaissance tactical system depends on a man who, despite many processes automation, will still be its most important element. An effective use of collected data and transforming them into information will depend on him. Reconnaissance personnel carries out the assigned system tasks: getting, developing and spreading information contents due to its users – receivers. The period of the army restructuring, the reconnaissance system including, causes that the nearest years will be characterised by rapid changes in reconnaissance officers' professional qualification and structure as the entire area of professional activity has transformed. The job requirements are more often a challenge to try forces and opportunities. Being active and talented will mark professional effectiveness.
