EDXRF jest tanią, niedestrukcyjną metodą. Zastosowanie tej techniki nie wymaga roztworzenia próbki do roztworu, jak w przypadku technik ASA czy ICP-MS. Najczęstszym sposobem przygotowywania próbek środowiskowych, takich jak gleby, osady denne czy odpady, jest pastylkowanie z dodatkiem lepiszcza oraz stapianie w perły. W artykule przedstawiono krótki zarys podstawowych zagadnień związanych z techniką EDXRF.

EDXRF is an inexpensive, non-destructive method. This technique does not require dissolution of the sample as ASA or ICP-MS techniques. The most common method of preparation of environmental samples such as soil, sediments or waste is a pelletizing with the binder addition and fusion to fused beads. The article presents a brief overview of the technique and the preparation of samples in the form of fused beads.
