Sustainable use of methane globally. Selected social and environmental aspects

Purpose: in the cognitive space, the article focuses on the issue of sustainable methane emissions, which can be seen as an approach aimed at controlling and reducing methane emissions into the atmosphere in a way that takes into account the balance between the emission and removal of this gas, in order to reduce its impact on climate change. Methodology: the theses presented in the article were verified using the following methods: literature review, critical analysis of literature, analysis and comparison of documents and an example of good practices. Result: in recent years, issues related to sustainable development and environmental protection have become central topics in the international arena. One of the key elements of this debate is the role of methane as a greenhouse gas and the question of whether its use can contribute to sustainable development or pose a potential threat to the environment. Originality: the key task is to develop a strategy that will allow for the effective use of methane while minimizing negative effects on the environment. Innovative technologies, stringent regulations and international cooperation are the key to achieving this goal and turning the use of methane into an opportunity for sustainable global development.
