Przemieszczenia w miastach : aspekt wykorzystania technologii GPS

Informacja o realizowanych przemieszczeniach jest niezwykle ważna zarówno w modelowaniu, organizacji i zarządzaniu ruchem w miastach. Można wyróżnić wiele sposobów jej pozyskiwania – ankietyzacja, dzienniczki podróży, monitoring itp. W artykule przedstawiono zastosowanie technologii GPS, jako metody na określanie sposobu przemieszczania. Zestawiono też część wyników badań w tym zakresie, wskazując jednocześnie wady i ograniczeniach innych, jak i tej metody akwizycji danych o ruchu. Przedstawione w artykule wyniki stanowią jedynie wstęp do szerszych badań, które pozwolą na rozszerzenie przedstawionej metody o szereg innych elementów (jak technologia GSM, czy WiFi), których koncepcje przedstawiono w innych publikacjach.

Information about realized travels is very important both for modeling, organization and traffic management in cities. There are many ways of sourcing - questionnaire, travel diaries, monitoring, etc. The article deals the use of GPS technology as a method for determining how people travels. Also summarizes some of the results of research in this field, while pointing out disadvantages and limitations of others, as well as this methods of acquiring traffic data. Results presented in this article are only a prelude to a wider research, which will allow the extension of the presented method on a number of other elements (such as GSM technology, or Wi-Fi), which concepts are shown in other publications.
