Przegląd nowoczesnych technik udostępniania danych przestrzennych w Internecie

At time, a great progress is being made in Spatial Information Systems, a discipline forming a part of the Informational Technology (IT) in a wide sense. More and more users appreciate advantages and benefits of using spatial information. Those users not directly associated with land surveying, cartography or navigation are given an opportunity and the ability of seeing things 'spatially', i.e., in three dimensions. This paper is aimed at stressing certain aspects of Spatial Information Systems and the role of presentation in those systems, with a particular reference to the Internet presentation. Tools designed for preparing a presentation of spatial information, including free and open source applications , have become more powerful and have more functions. On the other hand, a great effort is being put into development and maintenance of standards of spatial data presentation, such as WMS and WFS. The paper presents examples of application of those tools and standards, interrelated in many different ways.
