The article discussed the role of infrastructure in economic development and its Polish specificity. The country's economy is largely dependent on the facts and the continuous development of road infrastructure. Building a network of roads and highways is one of the factors contributing to direct economic progress. In recent years, Poland has played a significant role funding from the European Union affecting the modernization and upgrades. We present an analysis of road infrastructure development in 2010-2014 and prospects for the coming years.
