In assessing the technical condition of high buildings such as chimneys, towers or industrial halls, it is often a problem to reach inaccessible places. One solution to this problem is the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to inspect and assess the technical condition of these areas. The article discusses the numerous uses of drones in the construction industry. The innovative solution presented in this article is to equip dron in a dedicated thermal camera. This gives new possibilities for thermal imaging e.g. roofs and high objects. The article highlights the advantages and limitations of the use of drones in construction.
