The main objective of the paper is the presentation of theoretical and practical aspects of Charges for the Use of Rail Infrastructure in Europe and in Poland. Especially in the paper are concidered: the genesis of charges implementation, main principles of their creation, synthetic profile of existing infrastructure charging regimes in European countries and in Poland.
