The paper presents the considerations on the nature of the capacity of firms representing the industry TSL (transport – shipping – logistic). Drew attention to the definition of the concept, its importance in business operations. The main aim of this article is to identify a broad set of determinants that may shape the innovative potential of these companies. The article is an attempt to determine the direction of further research on the issue of the potential of innovative enterprises in the TSL.
