Wybrane operatory generalizacyjne i ich implementacja w systemie informacji przestrzennej ARC/INFO

The paper presents the problem of automatic generalization of databases in spatial information systems. The requirements for generalization procedures are analyzed. Existing generalization operators are listed. Generalization functions to be found in professional GIS software are briefly described. New algorithms of complicated generalization tasks and programs based on these algorithms are presented.
