Expansion modeling of fluidized bed – case study of brown coal dryer

Model of the fluidization chamber used to the numerical simulation of the expansion of the fluidized bed was presented. Results of numerical simulations at different times showing expansion of the bed in the chamber were presented. The model was used to select and evaluate of drying process parameters case study of brown coal. The results of experimental tests with usage of experimental laboratory installations was presented. The qualitative compatibility of experimental results with simulated ones allows to use the model in the design process of similar devices.
