Kontrola jakości systemu CyberKnife. Część 6 Test End-to-End (E2E)

W systemie CyberKnife dedykowanym do leczenia zmian nowotworowych z wykorzystaniem terapii SRS (ang. Stereotactic Radiosurgery) lub SBRT (ang. Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy) dla zapewnienia wysokiej precyzji prowadzonej terapii wykorzystywane są równe formy kolimacji wiązki promieniowania oraz ścieżek i trybów śledzenia zmian nowotworowych podczas napromieniania pacjenta. W zależności od modelu systemu dostępne są kolimatory stałe Fix, kolimator zmiennoszczelinowy Iris oraz kolimator InCise MLC. Dostępne tryby śledzenia dzielą się na stacjonarne (tryb śledzenia czaszki 6D Skull, tryb śledzenia znaczników Fiducial i tryb śledzenia kręgosłupa Spine) oraz dynamiczne (tryb śledzenia Synchrony). Kombinacje sposobów kolimacji i trybów śledzenia pozwalają na napromienianie zmian położonych nie tylko wewnątrzczaszkowo, ale również obejmujących całe ciało. W celu zapewnienia wysokiej precyzji geometrycznego dostarczenia rozkładu dawki konieczne jest wykonywanie testów kontroli jakości end-to-end pozwalających ocenić i kontrolować całkowity błąd realizowanej terapii.

In the CyberKnife system which is dedicated to providing Stereotactic Radiosurgery or Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for precisely delivering radiation to the patient’s body, the staff are obligated to perform the quality test that all methods used in the treatment session are accurate. The CyberKnife system can use three different collimators depending on the version of the system. Those collimators are - FIX which offers an eleven stable size of the collimator, IRIS which can create the same sizes of collimators as FIX but changing the size under treatment session is possible and the MLC colimator which creat the treatment field using MLC leafs. For treatment realisation the system offers stationary models of checking the position of PTV - 6D Skull, Fiducial and Spine and dynamic methods which is Synchrony tracking. Different methods of PTV tracking creat an opportunity to perform treatment for all localization in the patient’s body. The quality assurance test for all of this method are End-to- End test and the staff are obligated to perform those test once for a month.
