Ocena wpływu starzenia na własności poliuretanu stosowanego w medycynie

Praca prezentuje wstępne wyniki badań wpływu procesu starzenia na wybrane własności mechaniczne poliuretanu termoplastycznego wykorzystywanego w medycynie m.in. na elementy sztucznego serca. Proces degradacji starzeniowej przeprowadzono w środowisku sztucznego osocza w temperaturze 70±1 °C w czasie 168h. Badania zmian własności dokonywano w 24h odstępach czasowych. Oceny wpływu procesu starzenia na własności mechaniczne dokonano na podstawie badań twardości metodą Shore’a A, elastyczności metodą Shobe’a oraz wydłużenia przy rozciąganiu mierzonego po odciążeniu próbki.

In the paper presents preliminary results of research on the impact of ageing on selected mechanical properties of thermoplastic polyurethane used in medicine, among others, on elements of the artificial heart. The ageing degradation process was performed in an artificial blood plasma at a temperature of 70±1 °C for 168h. Research of changes properties were performed in 24h intervals. The impact evaluation of ageing on the mechanical properties was made on the basis of Shore A hardness, Shobe'a flexibility and elongation measured after unloading the sample.
